Join our passionate keeper for this limited time experience!

Join our keepers and rangers in this intimate behind-the-scenes experience and immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of daily rounds.

See how our keepers adapt and evolve elephant training sessions, from crate to chute exercises, whilst tailoring each training session to suit the individual needs of these magnificent animals. Discover our elephants’ unique personalities, hear their stories and learn how the calves - Aiyara, Roi-Yim and Kati, have evolved the dynamics of the social herd over the last year. Then finish your experience with a unique back-of-house barn access tour and witness the array of enrichment items that nurture our elephants' natural behaviours.

Two Asian Elephant calves are playing on sand. They are touching with their trunks.

Each individual session will play a vital role in preparation for the elephants' upcoming journey to their new home - Werribee Open Range Zoo, in 2024. So don’t miss out on this limited opportunity to witness the incredible work our keepers do for Asian elephants.

Each encounter will be unique, allowing our keepers to let the individual animals shine and give them the choice to control how they participate. By participating in this experience, you will help support conservation efforts to protect these intelligent animals.

Zoo entry not included. Book your entry tickets for the same date as your encounter.
